Brief Description: Manufacture of launcher and receiving pig traps for it installation in the San Tome district, Venezuela, “Pipeline ø 42” PTO-TAEJ”. These pig traps allow the sending and receiving of internal cleaning tools and the analysis of the state of the pipe lines for use and maintenance planning strategies of the collection lines. In addition, the design of these traps allows the use of intelligent tools for carrying out electronic inspection
Work Performed:
- Detailed engineering, materials procurement, manufacture, non-destructive test, hydrostatic test, sand-blasting & painting, packing, lifting and dispatch of the 42”x46” launcher & receiver pig traps
Engineering:
- Controval’s engineering team carries out the design of the pig traps under international standard codes:
- ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
- ASME Section VIII Div. 1 UG 35
